Today, I finished work early and write this post and saved in my drafts, this post is all about Raksha Bandhan, it is the festivals of Brother and Sister. We celebrated this in the month of August (Shravana). The day is called Naryati Purnima in the coastal regions of India.
Also, the very important day for Brahmins. This is called “Rishi Tarpan” or it is known as “Shravani Ceremony” they change the holy thread called “Janeyu”.
The “Janeyu” represents adherence to traditions. Rakhi is a Sacred Thread embellished with sister’s love for their brothers. Sister ties rakhi on the brother wrists and express he true love and bless. Brother gives her gift and promise to take care of her for life long.
Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu Festival and celebrated mostly in North India. There is no restriction for Blood relation in this beautiful and trustful festival. You must know about the story of Rani Karmavati and Baadshah Humayun is most popular story in Indian History.
This is all about values of Brotherhood
Find the Raksha Bandhan coloring page for children and enjoy.
Wish you a Happy Weekend!!!
